Description of mix: The real Winter Soulstice occurs the end of December. I recorded this mix about a month later, but living in Southern California it seemed fitting, since we were not hit with any signs of winter until the end of January. Staying indoors during the continuous days of rain inspired me on this musical journey.
Winter Soulstice also marks the longest night of the year. When I think of house music I think of a Celebration of the Night...the LA skyline...the stars twinkling above...a dark room lit by disco lights with a sexy vibe. I hope you enjoy this musical journey, filled with deep soulful grooves, funky basslines, haunting vocals, and a little hip hop thrown in.
