Biography DJ Vic C. Growing up in the early 80’s, DJ Vic C. was influenced by DJ’s like Aldo Marin, Jim Choppercone, and The Latin Rascals of the ever-popular New York City radio station 92WKTU. DJ Vic C. began spinning records as a teen growing up in Queens, New York. On his 16th birthday, his life changed when his parents bought him his first pair of turntables and mixer. He quickly picked up on current techniques like “cutting”, “back-spinning”, and “fading”. He dominated the turntables by the age of 17 and became one of the hottest local DJ’s. By 1987 he was DJing at local New York City clubs and continuously perfecting his craft by learning new techniques and keeping up with the times. There were many different genres at the time, but house music was something new and special. The club scene was getting hotter by the day with new house beats, and DJ Vic was always on the mix. His style was best described as soulful, underground, deep and pumping real house music for years to come. Since the transition from vinyl records to CD’s, his current Tascam CDX1700 and Tascam X17 mixer enables him to give his sets even more energy. He has mastered this new era of mixing by using his natural ability to blend different types of beats and sounds. Today, DJ Vic C. owns a DJ entertainment company where he provides DJ services for every type of social event. During his sets, he focuses on giving the people on the dance floor a spectacular party! The kind of music he plays depends on location, theme of the party, the people who are present and the time he has to play. DJing is his passion. Music is his life.
