Fluid Motion from Stockport, UK started djing in 1997 under the guises of DJ Phaze and later D-Func, initially concentrating on the soulful side of drum and bass and playing in many locations in and around Manchester. He currently lives in Barcelona, Spain and has played in most of the clubs in the city. His passion for Soulful D&B progressed into a love of Deep House from around 2007 onwards, and over the last year he has focused on doing house mixes for the internet (available from the Fluid Motion myspace). Duncan, more commonly known by his friends, runs the d&b label Binary Soul Records, which has had a string of successful releases being played by top name DJs in the d&b scene. He is equally at home playing deep house or drum & bass, and when asked to describe his current thoughts on the two, says that his mind is on drum & bass, but heart is in deep house. "It's all about creating an atmosphere whatever genre of dance music you play, if there's no atmosphere, there's no vibe... Enjoy the music!"
